Christmas Love A*U*C*T*I*O*N in honor of Amelia~

I am joining in with Beverly & Pink Saturday with this post! Please sure to join her here to enjoy all the other Pink posts! Merry PINK Christmas Everyone!

For posting your bid on any of the six items in this post, all you need to do is the following:
  1. Leave a comment with the name of the item, item #, the $ amount you are placing your bid for, along with your email address.
  2. You'll want to make sure you return often to review other comments/bids. If anyone has placed a bid higher on the item you'd like to have, you'll want to place another bid higher than that person to hopefully win the final bid.
  3. On December 21st, the bidding will end at Midnight EST. I'll notify the winning bids by email on December 22nd, Amelia's birthday, with next steps.
  4. There will be a very nominal shipping fee added for each item purchased. Will also ship to Canada, but the rate of the shipping may vary somewhat.
100% of the Proceedings will be going to baby Amelia ~ Please read her story below:

One year ago this month, on December 22rd, this precious little Baby in the above photo, Amelia, was born into a loving family to a Daddy named Jacob and a Mommy named Jenny in Michigan. Jacob & Jenny had been married just 18 short months when Baby Amelia arrived. After Amelia was born there were complications and Jenny, her mommy died. Hearing about this event broke my heart and I just felt I wanted to do something for little Amelia.

I asked Amelia's grandmother, Kathy, from Welcome to Mimi's Garden if I could do something to raise some money for Amelia and her Daddy Jacob earlier this year. Kathy gave me her blessing to do so. Kathy, along with her husband, has been helping her son Jacob to raise little Amelia this past year. A few days after Amelia was born and I learned about the situation, my mother had a bad stroke and much of this past year was spent in traveling to help care for her; which caused the delay in my putting this auction together.

Love Auction Items: I'm auctioning some of my very own custom handmade Tea Cozies, as well as a few other collectible/new items.

If you'd like to join my cause for Amelia, maybe you'll find something in my post today that I'm auctioning off that you'd like for yourself or as a gift to give someone else. All you need to do is review the 5 items below and follow the steps at the end of the post to place your bids. Please share this auction with all your blogging buddies - or better yet, post about it and include the hyperlink of this post so others would come and place a bid. The more that participate, hopefully the more we can raise together for Amelia. The highest bid on each item will be the winning bid to purchase it!

Hi Catherine, What an amazing and wonderful event you are having to help little Amelia.
I have to say this gave me pause as I read the details. My mother and dad were married Dec.22nd 1945 in Michigan where I was born.

Amelia is just darling and my heart breaks for her as she lost her mommy before she really knew her. Her father Jacob and Grandma Kathy & hubby from Mimi's Garden, I am sure have endured a challenge the past year. My heart goes out to all and I will keep them in my prayers.

Catherine, I will place my opening bid on tea cozy #1 the pink and black reversible for $10.00, you already have my email addy so I won't post it here. I hope you sell all and raise lots for sweet Amelia. I'll place this fund raiser on my sidebar as well.

So hope your mother is doing better and you are enjoying a blessed season.
Merry Christmas to you sweet friend and thank you for the email.
Love to you, Celestina Marie

You did it, you did it CC.
What a story. Amelia does not have mom, but I know she has so many like you, kind, caring hearts to help her and her daddy.
Of course I will bid. Let's see. Since I have one of your sweet cozy's I think I would like to bid on your precious cards. You know I LOVE your cards.
So I will bid $20.00
I hope this gets things going for you my dear friend of mine.
I love you to the moon and back.

What a big heart you have my friend. I'm in awe of your generous spirit! You, no doubt, are going to be a huge blessing to this family. Especially little baby Amelia.

I wish we all knew or at least understood all God allows sometimes. At least we can find comfort in knowing His ways are not our ways. He has a plan, no doubt.

I love everything you've created my talented friend. What I would like to do is donate $10 to baby Amelia and her family. Can you send me your PPal address and I will send it right on.

Blessings to you and love, too~

Hi CC,
This is wonderful my dear! I remember when this happened and how heart broken I felt for that family. I still think and pray for them often.
Please place $10 on the little blue heart shaped wedgewood and if I don't win I still want to donate.
big Hugs,

Good morning CC,Don’t faint, it is really me. I have been so busy with a Christmas party here (35 people) and my Garden Club Christmas party (38 people) Not here but a big deal held at our church. Your auction is a blessing for little Amelia and her daddy. CC, you are the best friend anyone can have. Your thoughtfulness in this event just touched me so much.

I am bidding $20. on the tea Cosey of your choice. I love them all. No matter what I am donating to the cause. I'll be back to see how your auction has progressed my dear sweet friend.

Catherine, my sweet friend, you are so generous with your love and friendship! I can't thank you enough for thinking of Amelia and Jacob when I know you have had a difficult year as well. Though our year has been filled with much grief and sadness, it also has been blessed with the joy of Amelia. I plan to post again soon to share about Amelia and some of the thigs that filled our year and kept us going. Much love, my friend!

My darling friend,

I am late in coming today; my school day is quite full.

I just want to thank you for your kind comment, your wonderful friendship, your devotion to Christ and for always being close by. I look forward to a Skype visit VERY SOON, and this story is just heartbreaking. For a young mother to pass on at birth is just beyond me.....this is just a wonderful thing you are doing. I am not at liberty at the moment to help out financially, however. Oh CC, you are such a light and encouragement!!!! May little Amelia be richly blessed by your efforts. We can talk soon, as soon as you want. BISOUS, Anita

Good morning CC, I would love the one you chose for me. I think $150. is a lovely donation to send to that poor family. Is a check ok? I have your address.

I had a very special niece who died after her last baby at age 27. She left three children and it was the saddest I have ever been in my life. I am so touched by your thoughtfulness dear CC.

Merry Christmas my dear sister friend. I too love you dearly.
Jeanne xoxoxo

PS: check your email I sent you a special card.

Sweet BFF GA. peach of a friend CC
You've been absent and I miss you.
Did you have a wonderful Xmas?? I'm sure you did.
New Year's is nearly upon us and I'm wondering what to post. I want to recall all the happiness in 2011, but then some sadness, so I'm just not sure yet. Something will pop into this head of mine.
It's snowing, it's cold and windy. Your typical Canadian winter day.
Just wanted to say hi to my BFF.
Heard from Julie today. She's home from Mexico. She had a lovely time, now she's back at it : (

Oh gracious...I'm so sorry that my comment I typed before the holidays didn't work. :*( I had a death in the family Thursday before Christmas and had to rush off for both to spend Christmas in NC, and to then go up to PA to attend the funeral. I just returned and am swamped with work. THANKS Claudie for letting me know my comment I "thought" I'd posted correctly did not take. To all my lovely Blogger friends, I thanked for sharing in this Love Auction for Amelia. We have raised close to $150 I believe...and over the weekend I hope to get in touch with everyone and get the Paypal piece and shipping of items won by the bids done. I will also get in touch with Kathy, grandmother of precious Little Amelia, to let her know how we made out and to find out how to get the monies collected to Amelia. Again...THANK YOU ALL for participating in either the bidding, donations, or generous comments you left. xoxo

You sit in your office this new year's day and I sit at my computer. This is where we met. This is where we talk late at night or during the day. This is where we got to know each other. This is where we learned how many things we have in common (ok except the bible thing, lol). This is where we planned our rendez-vous last summer (that sounds like so long ago). This is where we will plan our next get-together.
YES I GET you. You certainly GET me, that's for sure. I'll always be here for you. ALWAYS. Funny how our kids look at us in a different light isn't it? That's why we have each other, for strength, for reassurance for that extra LOVE some days when we can't seem to find it around us.
You are my forever friend.
Let's grow old together and hold each other if we fall.

CC! I am so sorry to hear of the death in the family; I too had a colleague due on 12/30...only 49. But yes, life does go on and how quickly it does so! VOILÀ POURQUOI we must seize the moment, non?

THANK YOU SO MUCH for coming to visit me sweet one! I responded to your email and copied Violet. I am not sure how to answer the question!!! PEACE AND FUN in 2012! Anita
