It's hard to apologize for being absent from blogging a lot in 2012 because of these precious angels in my life.
I travel to see this little guy above once a month - 7 hours round trip and it's worth every ounce of lost sleep to do that. His name is Jonny - he'll be 3 in June this year, and at the same time we'll be welcoming our Grandie #4, his sibling- gender unknown at this time.
Then we have my GA Grandies that live pretty much in my backyard. Catie (4) is on the left sitting on her MeMaw's lap, and Tyler (6) is sitting on my lap. They are the bright stars in my life that are nearby! :)
With a new year comes new decisions for all of us.
I'm trying to decide if I want to get back into my "C"reative mode and open a small little boutique/space in a local dealer area nearby to sell my creations and add some antiques into the mix. I like what this vendor has done with Burlap and the way they camouflaged their pegboard wall. Trying to get an idea on what I'd like mine to look like while viewing all the spaces.
This vendor (artist) I thought was VERY creative using this stunning model to sit in the midst of their area to draw attention.
She is definitely an eye catcher...and I just thought she was cool~
So, now I decide what I drop and what I pick up for 2013-
At the same time I want to simplify my life...
The vendor option would be great, because I only have to refill stock, I don't have to work there.
My Grandie #4 arrives in June, and I want to be hands on with this new little one too ~ so I think
this new venture could be fun, and would give me the outlet I've been longing for.

It's also a great way to get my mind off some things I just have no control over - life is like that, isn't it? Sometimes we worry about the things, people, health...that we can't rescue and save.
I was reminded when writing this post that it's one reason why I loved blogging, it was a wonderful ESCAPE into a world where most everything is positive and fun.
Sometimes we ALL need that escape.
Today I needed to dive back in and join you...

Hi CC, Yay you posted the sweetest post. I love your pics and how exciting to be a grandma again. I really do miss my grands at the babe and younger years. I did live close to several of my grands at that time. They were pretty much growing up and busy with school etc. when we decided to move. Now they are all teens or in their early 20's. All I can say is love your darling grands as much as you can because they grow up so fast. Two of mine will be in college this Sept. They want to go to the University of Fl. because that is where their parents graduated. It is hard to get into that college. We'll see.
I am so sorry to hear your mom is back in the hospital. I am praying for her and all of you CC.
I agree, about blogging. I sure did not visit as much last year. I am trying to do more in 2013. I do love to blog so I won't give it up any time soon. I admit FB is a faster way to communicate. I go there more than I used to. It is a good way to keep up with my sista friends and grands. I love that.
And I love you my darling sista friend. Please let us know how your mom is doing. You are so blessed to have her still. I miss my mom so much and she has been gone for 28 years. She had so much faith so I know she is in 'home' with her Lord.

I agree with Jeanne CC. I would NOT have a booth. I hear from many how time consuming it is. The profit margins are very small. You need to think of another way to sell your creative side. You have too much on your plate anyway. it's only going to get busier with the grands don't you think?

What a delight to see your pretty face and your comment, have missed you!!! I know what you mean about the worry that can overtake us for those people and things we can't control... The Bible's command, "Do not worry about anything, but to pray..." is a hard one for me to observe daily.
Little grandchildren are also the delight of my life. Our daughter has kids ages 4 months, 2, 4, and 7. Only 20 minutes away thank goodness!!!
I am like you in that I am re-evaluating how I spend my time and what to concentrate on when I love to create so many things, and to paint.
Last year got me in an upheaval I have not recovered from yet, with moving twice. I am still going through the belongings to determine what I will keep.... and have been donating a lot to thrift stores. Packing up everything and viewing everything I own as I unpack has made me want to simplify. {some!}
