My Special Blue Monday & Meta Monday Photo Makeover!

Two "Meme Shares" in one post today!
Meta Monday will be part II of this post!
First, My Blue Monday Post!
Today for Blue Monday I'm sharing the blue sky back drop for this photo I snapped at a flower garden center yesterday. The posie is an "Edgeworthia Chrysantha", a deciduous plant that grows up to 6 ft. tall. It is very fragrant and blooms in the winter months. She's a beauty~

On to Part II, Meta Monday...

Welcome to Meta Monday!
Today I'm using an example of how to use Photography
when y0u want to customize a special gift.

This is a gift I made last year for my Beloved's friend since childhood:

I'll show each letter one at a time first and then you'll see them lined up on the Mantel to spell the name "Cavy". I've included what I purchased to make it and the steps I took below the final picture.

The items I purchased or used to make this gift:

*4 paper mache alphabet letters from Hobby Lobby that spelled our friends nickname
*1 can black flat spray paint
*4 Laminate Sheets
*Black & White photos
*Plain paper cut in the same shape of each letter
*Scissors
*Glue Stick
This is what I did:
*Spray painted letters on all sides and allowed to dry thoroughly. Once done, I then took the plain paper and cut a pattern in the same shape of each letter. I then took the pictures I'd collected and decided which pictures I wanted to create a collage on which letter. I made duplicate copies of pictures just in case I messed one up, and this was very helpful since I was going to be cutting them smaller in odd shapes. Once I decided how I would cut and assemble the pics, I used the glue stick to attach the photos to the paper pattern of each alphabet. Once all letters were completed, I used the laminate sheets to laminate both the front and back of each alphabet, making sure I trimmed them in the shape of the letter as well. Once laminated, I then attached each one to the black paper mache alphabet with strong double sided tape.

This was a fun project and our friend loved it!
