It's "Ash Wednesday" for my Wordless Wednesday...

Thanks Dixie for hosting "Wordless Wednesday"...
I've selected Ash Wednesday for my "Wordless" post today!
Please stop over at "
French Lique" to see other Wordless Wednesday posts!
~Framing These Up~
Yesterday I posted one small clip art for W.W.,
went to bed, awoke at 1am,
couldn't get W.W. off my mind.
Walked up to my office,
snapped some shots of my husband's cross collection,
grabbed a snap from my inventory from a cross headstone with a robin bird sitting atop,
and this is what transpired over the next couple hours...
(clip art was tossed, sorry clip art) ;)

40 days and 40 nights for reflection. Good reason to ponder, sacrifice, act.

Did you go to church and have the ashes placed on your forehead? Thank you for reminding me CC. My mom usually reminds me, but my sister is visiting with her, and I'm sure they went to church today.
Love you

Beautiful picture. In a recent comment on my blog, you made such a nice remark about my writing. It really meant a lot to me. You also mentioned my award from Gollum. I wanted to let you know that, some time ago, Gollum issued a challenge for bloggers to write a story, and anyone who wrote a story could take the award! So much for my writing abilities! But, I do very much appreciate your comment. laurie

Funny how you think you've got things all taken care of you, then you lay down to rest and the Lord tells you to get back up and finish it... I love when the Lord works on me...

and I love your beautiful post.

Catherine,

I so remember receiving the ashes on my forehead as a child and not wanting them to come off or even be washed off. It was as though God himself placed those ashes on my forehead.

Great photos.

Ahhhh I like it! I can't belive you stayed up till 4am though. Seriously, I do that sometimes and then I can't drag my but out of bed the next morning.

I like what you did with the cross and bird photo. You will have to go with me sometimes when I shoot nature or still photography.
