A Multi Color Valentine Still Spells L*O*V*E

Welcome to Tablescape Thursday with ~CC's Sweetheart Dinner!
Please be sure to knock on Susan's door at "Between Naps On The Porch" where you'll get to see many other Tablescapes today!
It all starts with Romantic Lighting...
I added a romantic floral centerpiece near the table...
Our favorite bottle of wine...
Valentine's Day is about love~
So, whatever colors & patterns I use to decorate with, it's all about making it "Romantic"
This Tablescape has a layered look :
  • Italian made Periwinkle Lavender Chargers
  • Dinner plates pattern called, The Cellar, purchased at Macy's
  • Salad plates, one of my favorites to mix and match with many dishes I have, are made by Furio Home, and are also made in Italy.
  • I love the look and feel of the Vintage ecru crocheted tablecloth under the tablescape that I picked up at one of my favorite Antique Shops in Lavonia, GA.

A Romantic Tablescape for Two...and dinner is ready!

Adorable Salt & Pepper shakers made by "Gibson", a very inexpensive but sweet line that I love to purchase when I can. Dinner:

Light Salad consisting of Mandarin Oranges & Almonds

New York Strip Steak with Caramelized Onions & Yellow Squash, & Parsley Potatoes

Even Dessert time deserves special delicate lighting...I found these adorable miniature crystal pineapple candle holders (set of 4) at a yard sale for $5 and they had a complete set of candles with them. Strewn along the tablescape is iridescent garland and hearts.
Dessert
The Dinner plates have been removed...and it's time for a light and low fat dessert!
  • The dessert plate is a lacy white heart shaped porcelain plate (GW), which is placed on top of a lovely heart shaped pink floral plate by Andrea by Sadek.
  • Notice the little teapot on the Italian gold tea tray in the background, it matches the pink floral plate.
  • Sugar & Fat Free Vanilla Pudding Pie with Choco Graham Cracker Crust & Fresh Strawberries, drizzled with Hershey's Lite Choco Syrup
  • Herbal Green Tea served in lovely tea cups

This was my favorite Tablescape to put together, because my Beloved and I actually sat down and enjoyed the Tablescape and "really" ate the food! ;)

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!

Don't forget to drop by Susan's to enjoy everyone else & their Tablescapes!

Au Revoir, ~CC Catherine

What a lovely table! Just loved everything from your place settings to the little birdie salt & pepper shakers.

Finally, a tablescape with food that will be eaten!! I would love to have your dessert recipe, or at least how to assemble it.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful post! :-)

Lovely, Cathrine! You've done a great job of setting the mood with your tablescape. I also like the fact that you chose to do a different color scheme than red. I particularly like the way you used your pedestal base in the grouping and all the floating candles. AND those plates that are heart-shaped are wonderful. The food looks yummy, too.

This just made me smile!

XO,

Sheila :-)

Hi Catherine~
I can't believe you lived in Harrisburg, too! How funny! We were there only 18 months, sadly enough. We were in Orchard Park...ever heard of it?

Thanks for letting me know about the luncheon. Sounds like fun, but I'm quite a ways from there...not far from the South Carolina border, in fact! Maybe I can make it another time!

Love your pretty tablescape,by the way!

You are right. It doesn't have to be pink & red to be romantic. You proved that point. And I know what you mean about Gibson, very affordable. Great job.

It is lovely romantic Valentine dinner tablescape. The 'healthy' food looks wonderful and the dessert is asking to be hand fed by your mate. I too would love the recipe! I bet you both enjoyed the meal very much.
