Four Seasons of Heaven & Roses!

It's hard to not join in with both Jan on Rose Wednesday at Rose Haven and Outdoor Wednesday with Susan at "A Southern DayDreamer" ! So...I'm doing both! First for Rose Wednesday...
A very simple but gorgeous little hand painted porcelian shaker. I found it one day for 25 cents...lost and lonely and nobody wanted her. I snatched her up, tucked her inside of my purse (after I purchased her) ;) and off we went to my place!
She insisted on sitting perched on top of my crocheted lace tea gloves for her pic...and she loves my tea parties! She always wants in on the action...sweet lil thing that she is!
I don't mind a bit....everyone who meets her falls in love with her. Aren't the color of her roses beautiful?
Thanks Jan at Rose Haven for hosting such a precious Wednesday theme! Please stop by and view the others that have posted for Rose Wednesday!
*******************************

Thanks goes out to Susan from "A Southern Day Dreamer" for hosting this fabulous theme each Wednesday! Please be sure to visit Susan so you can see the other posts for this special Wednesday featured event by clicking on the link above.
My entry this week is a special gated entrance that I pass by not too far from my home. I first ran across it last spring when the Bradford Pear Trees were in bloom, in March. The first day they caught my eye it was raining...I knew I had to make it back by before the rain washed away all the lovely blooms! I have captured this view for the past three seasons, spring, summer, and fall. I'm praying for an ice storm or a little bit of snow before winter is over so I can get the fourth season of winter here in GA.
This is a side view of the entrance...breathtaking!
Another view without seeing the gate...I recently met the caretaker of this property when I stopped in the fall to "snap" the leaves turning. He is a kind soul...he told me that someone actually lives at the end of this lane...even though you cannot see a home from the road at all. He told me to come back anytime and take pics! How kind...
Once I get the fourth picture taken of the winter season, my intentions are to mat and frame all four in one frame and call it "The Four Seasons of Heaven". I call it that because the path to me leaves the end destination to ones imagination...and I kind of enjoy the thought of one walking down that lovely path amongst the spring blossoms to enter the gates of heaven beyond what we can see. ;)
The trees seem endless...I can't wait to get my fourth snap so I can then show you each season in a future Outdoor Wednesday share!
Don't forget to go to Susan's now to see all the other Outdoor Wednesday posts
Have a blessed day!

Happy Outdoor Wednesday Catherine!

The Bradford Pear trees are beautiful! We have many here too...but I don't think I have seen that many large ones together...and they are gorgeous!

The thing I like best about them blooming is that it means the cherry trees will follow shortly after!

Oooh an ice storm? shhhh no thanks! (although I think ice/snow in the trees is beautiful...as long as we keep power!)

I can hear the wind blowing outside now...and I know it is blowing away all my flowering plum blooms and buds (wahhhhhh)

Have a great day....thanks for sharing the beautiful pear tree photos!

I love these beautiful pictures. What a great idea to have pictures of all four seasons. I love Bredford Pear Trees. I had a beautiful one at our previous home. In general they don't normally do very well here. That's the reason I planted Springsnow Trees. They are very similar trees. I love the fence in your pictures!

That is so beautiful, I think I would just sit for a long time looking at that. Someone had a grand idea when those were planted!

Hi Catherine,
Oh my goodness they are truly spectacular!
What amazing photos you took!
I love the gate and path. ~BEAUTIFUL!

It's hard for me to believe that the teeny trees in our backyard are also Bradfords.
One day I hope they get this large.

Have a wonderful evening.
~Melissa :)

These pictures are so stunningly gorgeous! Wouldn't you just love to live at the end of that lane. It wouldn't matter what the house looked like...just to drive thru the lane every day would be enough. Will be so pretty framed.

We must think alike. I would love to close in my back porch and make it screened. :)

What pretty trees. Wouldn't that be wonderful to be able to drive down that driveway everyday.

I love Bardford Pear Trees. We had the most beautiful Bradford Pear in our backyard. Last year when we had that terrible ice storm, we lost it along with 5 or 6 maples. :(

Wonderful picture, can't wait to see the other seasons.

The pictures remind me of a scene in the PBC series "Anne of Green Gables" where she is riding through a lane exactly like this and the blossom petals are raining down all around her. It is one of my favorite scenes.

What a beautiful post for Outdoor Wednesday! I tried to leave a message for you last night but it was late and I don't see it here. (smile) I'm sure I pushed the wrong button. You had a wonderful idea to take the same vista in all seasons and frame them together.

Blessings, Lana

The trees do seem endless....and someone lives at the end of that driveway! Your idea of the photographs of the seasons sounds wonderful.
I've not seen the Bradford Pear full grown like these. They tend to be pruned to a smaller and not as attractive shape here where I live.
They probably planted them in too small of a spot.

Thanks so much for the comments on the waterfalls! Actually, one of them (the top one) is Dry Falls between Franklin, NC and Highlands, NC. The bottom one is Whitewater Falls - the tallest falls east of the Mississippi river, and is south of Cashiers, NC but near the SC/NC borders. They are both well worth the trip and the short trek to the viewing areas. If you want directions, please let me know - they are both an easy day trip from the Atlanta area. Have a great evening!
